SIS Data Verification
►Why?

Our Data Verification Services aim to:

  • Ensure the accuracy of your data before you submit it. Accurate data are especially important to state and federal accountability reports and with the impending implementation of the state CALPADS system.
►What?

As part of the Pre-ID process, our Verification Reports provide an additional level of data review to help ensure the accuracy of your Pre-ID submission.

Looking at our Verification Reports, districts review what they have submitted to help ensure data accuracy. Pre-ID data are submitted after the district has reviewed and approved the Verification Reports.

►How?

We generate Verification Reports for all of the major assessments: STAR, CAHSEE, CELDT, and Physical Fitness.

Our Verification Report is a one-page report generated for each school and for the district, consisting of the following data:

  • Each of the main demographic data elements being submitted.
  • A ‘Total’ row displaying the number of students for the school/district.
  • Each row includes:
    • Data element name.
    • Count of students for that particular data element.
    • Count as percent of the school/district total.
    • Count from the previous year’s data.
    • Previous years count as percent of the previous year's school/district total.
    • Caution flag if the two percentage columns differ by more than 15 percentage points.
